Operation Impact helps promote safe roads

Chestermere RCMP participated in the annual Operation Impact Oct. 5 to Oct. 8 to promote safe driving habits on city roads.

Similar to Chestermere RCMP’s Enhanced Road Safety initiative, Operation Impact’s aim is to encourage safe driving behaviours. the annual safety campaign is organized by the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police.

Over the course of the operation, Chestermere RCMP charged five drivers with impaired driving, 32 aggressive driving violations were issued, one Distracted Driving violation was issued, and two seatbelt violations were issued.
