Work continuing on East Acreages ASP

An update to the East Acreages Area Structure Plan (ASP) was presented to City Council at the Feb. 5 meeting.

City administration are continuing to work to revise the ASP with work this past summer to look into interim servicing options for the area completed in July.

Consultations with East Acreage land owners was also started. An open house was held on Oct. 18, 2018 with 36 area landowners in attendance. The attendees represented about 24 of the 75 parcels of land in the East Acreages plan area.

The next steps for the ASP include meeting with Chestermere Utilities Incorporated, meeting with the Calgary Metropolitan Region Board and for the city’s consultant Elizabeth Armitage, RPP, MCIP of Vicinia Planning & Engagement Inc. to integrate the revisions into the ASP.
