On May 6, at 8:15 a.m., Chestermere RCMP responded to a report of a person found deceased in Chestermere Lake near the east shore. Chestermere RCMP are seeking the assistance of the public to provide any information, dashcam video, residential surveillance, or sightings in order to establish the woman’s movements between 6:48 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. The deceased is described as 70 years of age, East Indian in ethnicity, brown eyes, and clothed in a dark blue hoodie, blue patterned pants, and black shoes.

Chestermere RCMP are seeking the assistance of the public to provide any information of the deceased between 6:48 a.m. and 8:15 a.m.

On May 6, at 8:15 a.m., Chestermere RCMP received a report of a person found deceased in Chestermere Lake near the east shore.

Chestermere RCMP, Chestermere Fire Services (CFS), and EMS responded and pulled the body from the lake.

Life-saving efforts were initiated, however, were unsuccessful.

The investigation determined the deceased was a 70-year-old Chestermere woman who was last seen at approximately 6:48 a.m. in the 600 block of Marina Drive while on a regular morning walk.

The death does not appear suspicious at this time however Chestermere RCMP are seeking the assistance of the public to provide any information, dashcam video, residential surveillance, or sightings in order to establish the elderly woman’s movements between 6:48 a.m. and 8:15 a.m.

The deceased is described as 70 years of age, East Indian in ethnicity, brown eyes, and clothed in a dark blue hoodie, blue patterned pants, and black shoes. 

The investigation is ongoing between Chestermere RCMP and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
