Chestermere RCMP seeking to return recovered stolen property

The property is believed to have been stolen between June 30 and July 3

On July 3, Chestermere RCMP seized numerous items believed to have been stolen in and around the Calgary area.

Chestermere RCMP arrested two Calgary males in relation to a shoplifting incident and allegedly were in possession of a stolen pickup truck with stolen licence plates.

Braiden Gordon, 28, and Cody Van Dyk, 27, both of Calgary were charged with shoplifting, possession of stolen property under $5000, and possession of stolen property over $5000.

Van Dyk has also been charged with failing to comply with a release order (x3). He remains in custody and will next be appearing in Calgary Provincial Court on Sept. 24.

Gordon has been released on conditions and will be appearing in Strathmore Provincial Court on Oct. 1.

As these matters are before the courts, no further details will be provided surrounding the incident.

Chestermere RCMP is looking to locate the owners of the recovered property.
