The City of Chestermere’s water and wastewater contractor, EPCOR has donated $5,000 to the city’s Gifts of Kindness Fund.
EPCOR made the donation from the Heart and Soul Fund which supports organizations that bring joy to the communities in which they work and provides a lifeline to those most impacted by COVID-19.
“We are so grateful to EPCOR’s Heart + Soul Fund for this generous display of support as we head into the uncertainty of the coming year,” said Community Wellness Facilitator and Gifts of Kindness Spokesperson, Nicole Madamesila.
“With these funds, we will be able to support the most vulnerable members of our community, no matter what 2021 has in store,” she said.
The Gifts of Kindness Fund provides short-term financial support to help meet the basic needs of Chestermere and South East Rocky View residents, while also supporting residents going through long-term social challenges including homelessness and malnutrition.
“COVID-19 has been a challenging time for our community, especially during the holiday season,” said EPCOR Director, Regional Operations, Christian Madsen.
Adding, “EPCOR is pleased to support the Gifts of Kindness Fund so it can continue providing a helping hand to those in our community who need it most.”
