In true Chestermere fashion, the Chestermere Rec Centre filled up, inside and out, for the 25th Anniversary of the Country Fair.
The Chestermere Anchor had two draw prizes at our table and we are thrilled to announce the winners!
Long time Chestermere resident, Marilyn Marshall, is the happy recipient of the Samsung tablet. Marilyn always enjoys the country fair but this time she was also there helping to promote the upcoming Art Days (coming up on Sept. 26th & 27th) as she is a member of the Artisans of Chestermere group. Marilyn also had this to say, “The Chestermere Anchor always does such an amazing job reporting in Chestermere. They are a very essential service in our community.” Thank you Marilyn & congratulations!
Our second winner was 8 year old Ally McAllister….yep, daughter of Wildrose MLA, Bruce McAllister. Ally attends East Lake school and is very much enjoying being in the brand new school. When asked her favourite part of the Country Fair, she replied “getting to see everyone, my friends and getting to ride with my dad in the parade and throwing candy”. Seeing as Ally’s prize was a Halloween themed bucket filled with lots of treats & goodies, it was only fitting to ask her what she wanted to be for Halloween this year. She giggled and replied “a nerd”. Congratulations Ally!
